Overview of Workshop

At The Ecology Center, practical skills-building is at the core of all we do. With this community workshop, we will teach the ins and outs of building simple containers and planting edible container gardens. Individuals can be empowered to "Grow Your Own!" and enjoy big flavor from small spaces.

The Specifics: How will the $1,000 help you host your workshop?

We empower people with practical ecological skills and solutions that they can create in their own backyards. We invite local members of the community to apprentice and learn with us, and then take the idea to people in their own communities. $1,000 would go toward kicking off our apprentice program and sponsoring workshop materials. The materials cost for one 16″×16″ box is $40 and includes a build sheet, wood, quality amended soil, and organic seedlings. We would love to partner with GOOD to create new portable farm square footage in our communities!
