Overview of Workshop

Topics covered will be: Resume building and tips, cover letter assembly and tips, interview basics (including a “professional attire on a budget” segment), and searching for a job (both in-person and online). Materials gathered & created for this workshop will then be made available online for free!

The $1,000 grant would award be used for the following:

1) Creating and printing information packets for participants to keep;

2) Purchasing “thumb drives” for each participant to keep, allowing participants’ work to be saved from session-to-session, digital copies of information packets provided, and will provide storage of participants’ completed resumes and cover letters for their own later use;

3) Any fees associated with reserving and/or using training facilities;

4) The acquisition of a video camera for recording training sessions and testimonials.
