The Specifics

In honor of July’s 30-Day challenge, Do It Yourself, we’re asking you to host a GOOD workshop. If you have skills, techniques, ideas, or knowledge to share that will positively affect your community, we want to hear your plan! Perhaps you will teach others how to maintain a sustainable home, host a bike repair workshop, or hold music lessons for underserved youth. If you have a skill that unites your community for a common good, let us know. The top-voted idea will be awarded a $1,000 grant from Big Wheel Brigade and GOOD to host a workshop.

The Host a GOOD Workshop challenge is open for submissions from July 2 to July 23 (noon Pacific Time). From July 24 to July 31 (noon Pacific Time), we’ll open it up to public voting. Rally your colleagues and friends to get behind your effort and join the GOOD community in selecting the winner.

Submission tips:

Include a photo or video that represents your idea. Photos should be in JPG, PNG, or GIF format, at least 570 × 345 pixels and no larger than 10MB. To include a video, use a YouTube URL.
Write at least 3-5 sentences that explain how the $1,000 award will enable you to host your workshop.

Rules & Regulations

This Challenge is open for submissions from July 2 noon PT to July 23 noon PT. Individuals, nonprofits and groups are eligible.
Submitted projects must be able to be activated with $1,000. Let us know how you’re going to put this money to work!
Projects will be featured on this page and public voting will be open from July 24 noon PT to July 31 noon PT.
The project that receives the most votes will win $1,000 to implement their idea.
In order to vote, log in with your GOOD account. If you don’t have a GOOD account, it’s free to join. All you need is an email address or a Facebook account to register. You will be emailed a link that you need to click in order to validate your address.
